A low cost 16 input photon counting instrument

My recent work has focused on timing instrumentation. Over the course of my PhD I developed a novel system which is capable of time tagging/time to digital conversion (TDC), time correlated single photon counting (TCSPC) and narrow window coincidence counting with all the processing being performed in hardware rather than in post processing at the host PC. Apart from this, I have worked on numerous other projects in the quantum information and cryptography field such as developing the electronics and measurement instrumentation forĀ  quantum key cryptography systems, click here to find out more.

Outside of research, I have built numerous small robots (micromouse and sumo), a few audio amplifiers and a few pieces of “home brew” test gear to assist in my research.
