I am a lecturer in electronic engineering and systems at Aston University.
My research focuses on digital instrumentation and I often create solutions to which no off the shelf solution exists. My work has proven crucial in two Quantum Key Distribution systems and numerous quantum optics experiments.
I have significant experience in high speed digital design, instrumentation, software engineering, embedded systems, schematic capture and PCB design. I was awarded a Royal Academy of Engineering enterprise fellowship to commercialise the outcome of my PhD research and further work is being taken towards achieving this goal.
Other interests include classic cars, ham radio and RF engineering, 3D printing, CNC machining, laser cutters and robotics.
